Appointments: DLA Piper promotes three to partner; Kuits; HSBC & more

DLA Piper has promoted three rising stars to partner in the region.

Pensions lawyer Claire Bell and projects and infrastructure specialist Andrew Davies work in the firm’s Manchester office, while Jeff Vernon, who heads the firm’s retail finance team, works in Liverpool office.

David Gray, office managing partner in Manchester, said: “”All three promotions are well deserved. They are all excellent lawyers who have made a demonstrable difference to the firm’s success through their dedication, hard work and commitment to exceptional client service.”

LAW firm Kuits has announced two new hires and four promotions.

The Manchester firm’s newcomers are tax and estate planning specialist Paul Bricknell, who joins as an associate, and intellectual property solicitor Michael Forrester.  Mr Bricknell has been recruited from DWF and Mr Forrester from Ralli.

Meanwhile it has promoted four solicitors to associate. They are: Claire Meyers (intellectual property), Felicity Harris-Knott (leisure), Greg Phillips (commercial property) and James Wall (commercial and intellectual property).

HSBC Commercial Banking has appointed Jason Trigg as area commercial director for Manchester. In his new role, Jason will lead a team of 16 commercial banking relationship managers to support businesses with annual turnover between £2m and £30m.

Mr Trigg, from Halifax,  has worked for the bank or 25 years, and undertaken a variety of senior management roles across the North including in Hull, Leeds, Preston, Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford.

Most recently, he worked in HSBC’s Head Office in Canary Wharf, London, before joining Leeds Commercial Centre three years ago.

HYDE-based SEONext, a search engine optimisation company, has made one new hire and two promotions.

Joining the team is Pete Hooley, 34, who will assist with new business generation. Meanwhile SEONext has promoted former professional cricketer Chris Tipper, 21, from Hyde. as senior account manager and Ashley Hopkins, also 21, to operations manager.

PROPERTY adviser Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels has recruited Alistair Greenhalgh as a vice president based in its Manchester office at One Piccadilly Gardens.

Mr Greenhalgh, pictured, who joins from avills, has worked in the hotel property market for more than 2 years.Alistair Greenhalgh
