Pannone overhauls partnership structure

LAW firm Pannone has continued its internal overhaul, launching a new position of ‘junior equity member’ and axing salaried partner level.

The Manchester firm said the changes are part of a new talent management programme designed at rewarding talent.

The changes also include “repositioning the role” of fixed share member, and the introduction of the new position of director.

Former salaried parners have either been made a fixed share equity partner or a director.

By levels of seniority the new structure is: full equity partners; junior equity member; fixed share members and then directors.

The first seven junior equity members – who have all injected capital into the firm – are Zia Ullah, Sara Teasdale, Fiona Wood, Beverley Darwent, David Brown, Nicola Marchant and Samantha Blackburn.

Zia Ullah and Sara Teasdale were formerly salaried partners and the other five were formerly fixed share members.

Those being promoted from senioraAssociate to fixed share member are VickyAmy Chandler McLynn and Amy Chandler, pictured,and from senior associate/senior manager to the role of director are Caroline Dawson-Gerrard, Steve Simpson, Luigi Salzano, Dan Morton and Chris Styles.

Pannone said the new position of junior equity member has been designed as a “stepping stone through to full equity”.

Managing partner Emma Holt, who has introduced several major structural changes and a brand overhaul since taking over two year ago, said the firm wants to attract, encourage and reward talent.

“In order to deliver our future plans for the business, maintaining and growing a vibrant partnership structure is critical to achieving our goals. Therefore, the first step of a firm-wide talent management programme has been to revamp our partnership structure.
