WEMSinternational has appointed Jason Thackray as its new commercial director.

The Stockport-based company, which manufactures and installs wireless building energy management systems, has appointed the 41 year-old to handle its sales and marketing activity.

He joins the firm from energy consultancy INENCO.

Ivan McKeever, CEO at WEMSinternational, said: “Jason brings a wealth of industry experience, which will be of considerable benefit to both our customers and in-house team, as we look to broaden our capabilities, market share and geographical spread.

ASHTENNE Industrial Fund has appointed Sarah Williams as an asset manager to its Space North West joint venture with the Homes & Communities Agency.

Williams joins from Spencer Commercial Property, where she worked for two years prior to its pre-pack sale to Hansteen in December for £150m. She continued to work for Hansteen for a further four months after the deal.

Sarah Williams of Space North WestShe will now take on a broad asset management role handling lettings, sales, marketing, landlord and tenant work and looking after the daily management of the Space North West portfolio, including the Liverpool Innovation Park on Edge Lane.

“Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience in asset management and many contacts in the North West property market.”

THE Manchester office of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has strengthened its Building Consultancy team with the appointment of surveyors Ben Nicholas and Alexandra Morgan.Ben Nicholas and Alexandra Morgan of Lambert Smith Hampton

Nicholas joins from Trident Building Consultancy in Liverpool and Morgan joins from Capita. Both appointments follow a number of recent business wins for the Manchester Building Consultancy team

SAVILLS has recruited Melanie Bailey from Lambert Smith Hampton to its student housing team.

Bailey will also liase with the capital markets team and play a leading role in student housing valuations.

Her previous experience includes the valuation of the Brandeaux Student Accommodation Funds’ portfolio. Savills has recently been appointed as the fund’s manager, and she will continue to provide valuations for it.

DIGITAL agency Livelink has appointed recent advertising and brand management graduate Adrianne Tierney to its team.

She will work across all social media, Google analytics and email campaigns for the Manchester-based firm, utilising her knowledge of SEO, affiliate PPC and social media management.  

Managing director of Livelink, PK Vaish, said: “We’ve talked to a lot of North West students in recent months as we make it a policy to support new graduates who are hoping to get their first foot on the employment ladder.

WINTERHILL Largo has appointed Kevin Counihan as an associate director of plant and machinery, working out of its London office.

Counihan has  experience in corporate finance, credit insurance and start-up technology businesses. He recently helped to develop an online auction model for asset disposals and joins Winterhill Largo from auctioneer Philip Davies, where he gained seven years’ experience in asset valuation and disposals.

He will now head the Blackburn-headquarted firm’s plant and machinery valuation service across the South East.

Winterhill Largo chief executive Neil Duckworth said: “The breadth and depth of Kevin’s experience, having played a key role in developing the digital side of asset disposal, positions Winterhill Largo well to provide an excellent service to clients across the South East.”

BOLTON-based renewable energy company BHE Renewables has appointed a Andy Edwards as renewable energy manager.

The company, based at Wilkinson House on Radcliffe Road, in Bolton, supplies and installs a variety of renewable energy equipment including air and ground source heat pumps, solar panels, solar thermal CHP units and mini wind units.

Edwards, 37, has had many years’ experience in a variety of roles involving renewable energy – including a spell at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

Paul Wilkinson, Director of BHE Services (Bolton) Limited, said: “We have a talented team of engineers within our renewable division. Andy will add to that team and help drive forward our business further.”
