THE prospects for the region’s manufacturing sector in international markets will be discussed at a key event next week.

Top economist Lee Hopley from EEF, the industry organisation and will join businesses, professionals and international trade experts to discuss the findings of Manufacturing Focus a new report looking at challenges and opportunities in global markets.
 
The Natwest and EEF – Manufacturers Export Market Seminar 2012 takes place next Tuesday July 3 at the Thistle Hotel, Penny Lane, Haydock.

The event, which will feature presentations from successful manufacturing exporters, legal experts from Brabners Chaffe Street and UK Trade and Investment, will look at manufacturers’ appetite, experience and success in accessing export markets.

The NatWest/EEF research identifies a range of perceived barriers to exporting to emerging markets, and shows that manufacturers’ efforts to expand their penetration in world markets have not faltered, even as global economic prospects have become more uncertain.
