TBWA and Code take top prizes at Big Chip Awards

ADVERTISING agency TBWA’s campaign for the Manchester-based Co-operative Group took centre stage at last night’s Big Chip awards celebrating the North West’s digital marketing sector.

TBWA’s Join The Revolution Campaign won the overall Grand Prix prize at the awards, as well as Best Digital Marketing Campaign and Best Online Brand Development.

Manchester-based Code Computerlove was the other major winner at the awards, which took place at The Palace Hotel in Manchester last night. It secured the Digital Agency of the Year award, as well as the award for Innovation for Photoswipe. Greater Manchester Police also picked up an award for its use of social media during last summer’s riots.

Shaun Fensom, chair of organising company Manchester Digital, said: “It’s been such a fantastic year for the Big Chip Awards, with digital organisations from right across the North of England from Liverpool to Newcastle stepping up to be recognised for their achievements.

“The event has continued to grow year on year, with the quality of agencies from across this digital sector being reflected in this year’s winners.”
