Radiator firm is hot prospect

A STOCKPORT-based company which makes cast iron radiators has found new premises after agreeing a £300,000 commercial mortgage with Barclays.
Castrads is a family-run business which has been trading since 2004.
It employs 14 people and has a turnover of £2.5m. The company imports loose radiator sections from foundries and then assembles them at its own plant.
Following the loan, the firm has moved to a new store in Reddish where it has also installed new spray both equipment allowing it to apply paint quickly, which should help to increase capacity.
Managing director and owner Chris Baylis said: “The opportunity to purchase the new site in Reddish could not have come at a better time for us.
“The store is in an ideal location and will support the business on its successful growth journey whilst maintaining the highest level of service for our customers.”
Ian Jones, senior business manager for Barclays Business, said: “This is a great business with great people and a great future.”
