Women in Property presents student prizes

A PAIR of students from the North West are set to represent the region at Women in Property’s national awards after scooping regional prizes.

Architecture student Rebecca Meadowcroft and Environmental Management student Grace Johnson won the prizes for Liverpool and Manchester respectively at the regional finals of the Association of Women in Property’s (WiP) National Student Awards.

The pair will now go on to the national finals, which will take place at Claridge’s on September 18. They have also both won £300, an opportunity to take up a work placement and the chance to participate in Women in Property’s mentoring programme.

Claire Beaumont, chairman of WiP’s North West Branch and an associate at Laytons Solicitors, said: “I’m confident in the calibre of finalists we are putting forward to represent the North West.

“This year, we received our largest number of nominations for the awards to date with seven universities taking part.”

The regional event was held at the B.Hive business lounge on King St in Manchester last week.
