AQ Audio hoping for big sales volumes

A MANCHESTER company which has designed a wireless loudspeaker, has raised funding from angel investors to launch its product in a number of markets.
AQ Audio, which is based in Baguley, south Manchester, has spent 18 months designing and testing its SmartSpeaker which is for use with Apple Airplay technology, and it is now on sale via Amazon in a number of international markets.
Its quest for finance was assisted by Knutsford business FundingStore.com, which provided advice and assistance and helped AQ secure a “significant” amount of money from angel investors.
AQ Audio managing director James Grant said: “The funding was an exact match to what we needed and allows us to launch the product across numerous international markets.
“There is no other product out there which delivers the same quality and coverage at the price and we expect significant sales across the world.”
Nick Montague, chief executive of FundingStore.com said, “We all know how difficult it is to source funding, particularly for early stage companies. It is a testament to the business and team at AQ Audio that they have successfully secured this funding.
“Their preparation, attention to detail and hard work has paid off and we
wish them every success.”
