Developer Kingswood looks to Lakes

SOUTHPORT-based Kingswood Homes is to build eight houses in the Lake District, having bought the site of a former primary school.

The three quarters of an acre site of the former Lund Terrace Primary School in Ulverston has planning consent to build a development of eight houses called The Laurels.

Paul Jones of Kingwood Homes said: “Within the first weekend of the show house opening, there was unbelievable interest. Despite the property market not being as it was a few years ago, it just goes to show that there is still demand for quality properties in popular areas.”

North West law firm Brown Turner Ross  acted for Kingswood on the deal.

Kevin Ross, head of property at Brown Turner Ross said: “We have acted for Kingswood Homes and their related companies for around five years, working with them at each stage of the organisational growth to ensure that they can realise their business goals and ambitions.

“They are a smashing company who build lovely properties and we are delighted that this deal has now been completed. We look forward to supporting them long into the future as their companies grow.”
