Profits leap at recruiter Rullion

RECRUITMENT group Rullion and has enjoyed a sharp rise in sales and earnings despite the depressed economy.
The Altrincham-based firm, which is controlled by the Saoulli family, saw pre-tax profits rise 75% to £3.5m on sales of £262.1m, up 15%, according to figures for the year to December 31.
In their report the directors put the company’s performance down to customer service and its large sales team and emphasis on developing in-house sales talent.
Rullion was founded in 1978 by Themis Saoulli to recruit engineers for the Middle Eastern oil-and-gas industry.
It now operates across a range of sectors, including construction, engineering and finance, and employs 1,300 staff.
An interim dividend of £2.27 a share – totalling £510,000 – was paid during the year, up from £2.17 last time, but the directors decided to forego a final payment.
