Double boost for Pannone

LAW firm Pannone has been appointed by Centro – the transport authority for the West Midlands – to eight of its legal framework panels.

The Manchester firm was appointed after a competitive tender to Centro’s public law, property & land, public procurement, employment, dispute resolution, construction, transport and major projects panels.

Centro has had a long-standing relationship with Pannone – the firm’s   public transport team led by partner Udo Pope, advised on its £40m deal to buy a new tram fleet for the Midland Metro.

Commenting on the new tender wins, Mr Pope said: “We are delighted to be appointed to all eight legal framework panels which further cements our excellent relationship with Centro.”

Meanwhile the firm’s white label arm, Affinity Solutions, has been appointed by Aria Assistance – the firm created by the MBO of the UK and Ireland arm of Europ Assistance – to provide legal and services support.

Affinity Solutions will provide Aria Assistance with legal expense work, public liability defence, recoveries and a legal helpline.
