Eric Wright backs Wiggo event

PRESTON construction firm Eric Wright Group is sponsoring a cycle event this weekend which marks the launch of the Bradley Wiggins Foundation.

The firm is backing ‘Ride with Brad’ at Barnoldswick on Sunday where enthusiasts will have the chance to ride two routes with Chorley-based Wiggins, winner of the Tour De France and time trial gold medalist at the Olympics.

Wiggins’ foundation will aim to promote sport and exercise, support athletes, and provide equipment and facilities to clubs and schools.

Jeremy Hartley, managing director of the Eric Wright Group, said: “Supporting the communities in which we operate is at the core of our business, underlined by the foundation of our Charitable Trust in 1986 to encourage the education and development of young people.

“It is an honour to play a key role in an event that means so much to the people of Lancashire.”

The ride has been organised by Pennine Events.
