Impact attracts NZ investor in share placing

LENDER Impact Holdings has raised £320,000 in a share placing.

The Daresbury-based company, which offers finance to solicitors’ practices, has placed 400,000 new shares at 80p each with the Mercantile Investment Company, taking its holding to 20%.

Mercantile’s primary shareholder is Sir Ron Brierley, a New Zealand-based investor.

In a statement Impact said the cash would be used to fund future acquisitions and for working capital.

Chief executive Paul Davies, said: “The group has earmarked a number of opportunities in providing services to the legal sector.

“This equity raising will be utilised to maximise some of these options as the group aims to deliver its strategy.”

Shares in AIM-listed Impact are trading at around 90p.
