Pump hire firm PP&E spreads its wings

A SPECIALIST pump hire company has invested more than £100,000 in moving to new premises.

Performance Pump & Equipment, which supplies sectors, including construction, civil engineering, water utilities, mining, quarrying, waste and landfill, industrial and petro-chemical, has moved its head office to Tattenham Works, Hindley Greeen Wigan, on the back of growing sales.

The new facility, which was opened by Wigan and England international rugby league star Sean O’Loughlin, provides increased space for its growing team.

PP&E, which funded the move from its own resources, has 23 staff in Wigan and at regional depots in Iver, Bucks and Bridgwater, Somerset.

Managing director Dave Berry said: “The move represents a significant new phase in our growth, as the demand for our products and industry expertise continues to rise.

“The new facility gives us more room in which to operate, meet customers and accommodate staff, as well as develop our business. It also means that we are able to carry an increased variety of products.”
