Appointments: New production chief at The Studios; Positive Cashflow; Express Solicitors

THE managing director of a London production company has been appointed head of post-production at The Studios at MediaCityUK.

Paul Austin, MD of Clear Cut Productions, will manage post-production services and create cloud-based services for UK and overseas customers.

The facility has been without a head of post since March when Mark Lovatt steped down after 10 months in the role.

The Studios is a joint venture between MediaCityUK developer Peel Holdings and SIS (Satellite Information Services).

Austin will work with commercial director and acting chief operating officer Ian Munford, head of operations John O’Shaughnessy and chief technology officer Paul Clennell.

POSITIVE Cashflow Finance, the Manchester-based lender, is seeking to cast its net wider in the region with the appointment of David Marshall as business development manager for Lancashire and Cumbria.

Mr Marshall previously spent five years as an intermediary specialising in receivable finance and lease finance contracts. Prior to that he spent 10 years in the transport industry.

He said: “Businesses are finding it increasingly difficult to secure funding. I was impressed with the way that Positive work in partnership with its clients to find a solution that works best for them. The company already has a presence in Lancashire and Cumbria and I will be using my experience to further grow the client base in this region.”

PERSONAL injury law firm, Express Solicitors, has appointed Carole Jones as HR manager.
 
She is among 30 new recruits at the Manchester firm since February, and will oversee further new appointments.

She said: “It’s great to be joining an ambitious, Lexcel accredited firm at such at pivotal time in its growth.”

Joining Express Solicitors from Leech & Co Solicitors where she spent two and a half years, she will oversee a team of two and report to managing partner James Maxey.
