Seddon revisits Stockport Hilton plan

PLANS have been revived for a Hilton hotel in the shadow of the Stockport pyramid close to the M60.

Knutsford-based Seddon has submitted proposals for a seven storey, 165-bed Hilton Garden Inn Hotel at the Kings Reach Business Park.
Similar plans received approval by Stockport Council three years ago but this will have now lapsed.
Hilton’s Garden Inn is a mid-price brand with an emphasis on business travellers.
The hotel will include business conference areas and a ground level car park.
The council hopes to make a decision by November.

In a statement Seddon said it was seeking an extension to its earlier consent. No operator for the hotel has yet been lined up.
