Neptune lets Observatory to LMH
LIVERPOOL developer Neptune has let 21,500 sq ft at its Observatory office building at Queen Square to Liverpool Mutual Homes.

LIVERPOOL developer Neptune has let 21,500 sq ft at its Observatory office building at Queen Square to Liverpool Mutual Homes.

The social landlord will relocate its head office team from Commutation Row on the other side of St John’s Gardens and has signed a 25-year lease on the grade A space.

The letting means that the 275,000 sq ft scheme’s office element is fully let.

Danny Hynd, a director of Neptune Investments, said: “We have an active asset management strategy which has ensured that Queen Square remains as popular as ever.

“It’s a major part of the city’s infrastructure and we’re delighted to welcome LMH to the square.”

The Observatory was designed by Liverpool-based architects Falconer Chester Hall and completed in 1998.

Assistant director of enterprise at Liverpool Mutual Homes, Chris Bowen, said: “We are delighted to be moving to this landmark office in the heart of the city centre.

“As well as being a great location for the business, the proximity of local bus and train stations give our tenants good access to the facilities we intend to offer.”
