KDC wins Elstree contract

SPECIALIST demolition, decommissioning and remediation firm KDC has won a £1.7m contract in Elstree, Herts.

Manchester-based KDC has been appointed to carry out site clearing, demolition and land remediation work to prepare the site for future development.
 
Legal & General Property is investing £10m to regenerate the site with proposals including nine industrial and warehouse units and a new Wickes store.

Stephen Hardy, KDC energy, utilities and industrial sector director, will be responsible for the KDC team of demolition experts working in Borehamwood.

He said: “This project is going to transform the area and we’re delighted to be on board. We’ve won this project not only because of our impressive track record for getting the job done safely and effectively, but because of our plans to ensure minimal impact on the densely populated surrounding area.

“The site is close to commercial and residential properties, so we need to do all we can to prevent disruption to the busy local community.”
