Businesses back Buy Art Fair

FOUR North West businesses have signed deals to sponsor this year’s Buy Art Fair and its sister event, The Manchester Contemporary.

The art exhibitions take place in Manchester’s Spinningfields from September 28-30.

Three Knutsford firms are involved: wealth manager Clarion, furniture business Hetherington Newman, and Living Ventures, owner of Australasia, The Alchemist and The Oasthouse.

Manchester law firm JMW is also backing the event, as well as Allied London, which owns Spinningfields.

Keith Arrowsmith, partner and head of intellectual property at JMW, said: “Manchester’s creative sector continues to grow, and our sponsorship is one of the ways we can support emerging artists and established galleries.

“This year’s venue is even closer to our front door, so we look forward to building even better connections with visitors and exhibitors.”

The Buy Art Fair hosts around 500 works from 50 galleries around the UK. The Manchester Contemporary, now in its fourth year, focuses on a small number of selected UK and international galleries showing the work of emerging contemporary artists.
