Property briefs: Liverpool lets for Bruntwood, strong sales for Sutton Kersh

COMMERCIAL property group Bruntwood has secured three new lettings totalling 1,075 sq ft at its Cotton Exchange building in Liverpool city centre.

Website hosting service provider Cyberhost Pro Limited has taken 650 sq ft at the Grade II listed building, while Core Solutions Telemarketing and D&C Referrals have taken 220 sq ft and 205 sq ft respectively.

Bruntwood said it has seen an increase in interest in office space at Cotton Exchange, located on Bixteth Street, since an extensive refurb.

Head of sales David Seddon said: “Cotton Exchange continues to appeal to a wide variety of companies, particularly start-ups and small to medium enterprises attracted to the flexible leases Bruntwood can offer them in this well-known Liverpool building.”

Bruntwood owns 900,000 sq ft across nine major office buildings in Liverpool city centre.

AUCTIONEER Sutton Kersh said it’s on target to achieve its best year end result for over five years.

Its September auction took its total proceeds for the year to over £22m.

At the sale it offered 63 properties from an initial catalogue of 71. The best selling lot of the day was a vacant residential property located at 52 Galloway Street in Wavertree.

The mid-terraced two-bed house, which is in need of full refurbishment, sold for £24,250 – over double its guide price of £10,000.

Auction manager Cathy Holt said: “Historically September delivers a good auction result. The room was well attended and there was competitive bidding.”
