Myers Lister Price seeks slice of media market

MYERS Lister Price (MLP) is the latest law firm to target media clients at Salford Quays.

It is moving its creative and media industries legal team to the Digital World Centre, opposite the MediaCityUK development.

The Altrincham firm will be joining Ralli, which has an office at the same block, and JMW, which has opened at MediaCityUK’s Greenhouse.

MLP’s team of four creative and media lawyers will be headed by partner Stephen Attree.

It will advise clients on partnership and collaboration agreements, commercialisation of intellectual property, and licensing and distribution agreements.

Mr Attree said: “We’ve been advising a variety of media business start-ups and entrepreneurs on setting up their businesses as well as helping them protect their ideas and products through our intellectual property and trademark team.

“Our media team isn’t just for start-ups; we’ve worked with a number of creative and digital firms through the lifecycle of their business, from formation, expansion to selling the business to large media firms. Our team are trained to provide business and legal insight at every stage.

“It’s exciting times for the media and creative industry in the North West. We now have the UK’s media epicentre on our doorstep and we felt it was important for our creative and digital legal experts to be located in this media hub.”
