Euro RSCG has another name change

PUBLIC relations firm Euro RSCG has changed its name again, this time to Havas PR UK, after its French parent.

It said it had taken the step following a rebranding by the Havas Group of its 316 Euro RSCG agencies in 75 countries to underline a “simpler and more transparent structure and a unified culture”.

The business started out as Leedex in the 1990s. In 1999 it was bought by Biss Lancaster – owned by Euro RSCG – which merged the business with its regional agency GTPR.

Leedex GTPR was born but was later known as Euro RSCG Leedex until 2005. At that point Leedex was dropped and Biss Lancaster was added to Euro RSCG.

But in 2010 this name also fell by the wayside and the agency has been known as Euro RSCG for the past two years.

Brian Beech, managing director of the Manchester and Edinburgh offices, has embraced the latest change despite having worked with all the different names over the past 12 years.

He said: “Our industry doesn’t make it easy for clients who struggle daily to deal with a multitude of networks, hundreds of brands and many different cultures.

“They are looking for agency partners that are truly integrated and work seamlessly across PR, creative and digital.

“We are the only communications group with a unibrand structure and approach which makes life easier for our clients. And there are other benefits too – our new name is easier to say; easier to write; and easier to remember!”
