Linder Myers strikes again with NW double

LINDER Myers, the Manchester law firm, has made two more acquisitions as it continues to expand in a consolidating market.

Hot on the heels of last week’s pre-pack deal for debt-laden Manchester firm Shammah Nicholls, Linder Myers is merging with Chester firm Drummonds Solicitors and Senior Calveley & Hardy Solicitors, which has offices in Lytham and Preston.

The latest deals will take turnover a Linder Myers to £19.7m and its employee numbers to 315. The firm is eyeing further growth and is targeting Yorkshire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcester in particular.

Drummonds brings 27 staff and offers private and commercial services with strength in property. The firm’s regional footprint brings Linder Myers its first penetration in North Wales.

The deal with Senior Calveley & Hardy strengthens Linder Myers’ property, wills and trusts teams. The merger with SCH adds a further 13 people, including three partners, to the firm’s regional practice.

Bernard Seymour, managing partner at Linder Myers said: “We are well under way to achieving our target total fee income of £25m by 2015 and will continue to actively seek other firms to build on both critical mass, expertise and further broaden Linder Myers range of legal services.

“Drummonds, Senior Calveley & Hardy and SNG Commercial Law have well established reputations in their respective markets and together form a significant boost to Linder Myers existing offer as we penetrate new markets and strengthen our services to local clients.”
