Crompton and Downes join Warrington regen body

WARRINGTON’S urban regeneration partnership, Warrington & Co, has drafted in two senior regional property figures.

Matt Crompton, managing director of Muse Developments and John Downes, chief executive of Langtree, have both joined its strategic board.

Salford-based Muse is delivering the town’s £130m Bridge Street regeneration scheme.

The operational team has also been strengthened with Steve Park joining on secondment from Warrington Borough Council as managing director. Mark Dawe will deliver key projects.

Chairman Peter Crompton said: “It is an important time for Warrington. Birchwood Park is performing extremely well and there are exciting announcements ahead for strategic initiatives such as Omega and the Stadium Quarter. With plans already in place for the regeneration and development of Bridge Street Quarter in the heart of the town centre, there are lots of exciting opportunities ahead.

“Warrington & Co operates under the guidance of a predominantly private sector led board, to promote economic development and physical regeneration in Warrington, so Matt Crompton and John Downes are welcome additions to strengthen the team. In addition, both Steve and Mark will help us deliver Warrington’s plans to reality.”
