Super six fly flag for NW in Ernst & Young awards

SIX of the North West’s leading business minds are flying the flag for the region tonight in the UK finals of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

BetFred founder Fred Done and the regional winner of Entrepreneur of the Year award in June , is seen as a strong contender for the overall national title.

As well as his Warrington-based betting empire Mr Done has major regional business interests in property investment, sports tourism and employment law advice.

Other regional contenders are: Peter Schofield from Bury-based car cleaning to accessories group Tetrosyl; Ian Kelly of green technology firm Matrix; Iqbal Ahmed of the east Manchester-based seafood processing group Seamark; Lawrence Jones, founder of UKFast, the Manchester web hosting company and Matthew Sanders of Knutsford recruitment consultancy de Poel Group.
