Baa Bar confirms Yorkshire growth

INDEPENDENT North West leisure business Baa Bar Group, has confirmed the opening of its first venue in Yorkshire, a move that will create 40 jobs.
Baa Bar Leeds, which will be located on Cookridge Street in the Millennium Square area. It is the Liverpool company’s 11th bar, it already has sites in Manchester, Liverpool and Nottingham.
The Leeds launch is part of Baa Bar Group’s expansion plan to open 10 new bars over the next five years.
Chief executive Elaine Clarke said “For Baa Bar, it’s all about finding the right sites and we feel we’ve found a gem in Leeds’ Millennium Square.”
“Baa Bar is already a massive part of the nightlife scenes in Liverpool, Manchester and Nottingham.”
The £11m turnover business, which celebrates its 21st birthday this year, is looking for further sites in Yorkshire with Sheffield and York particular targets.
Chairman, Richard O’Sullivan, added: “Yorkshire is a fantastic place to invest and we’re keen to find the best sites that the region has to offer.”
