BDP hires its first apprentices

ARCHITECT BDP has taken on three apprentices as part of a recruitment strategy to harness fresh North West talent.

Daniel Ingham, 23 and Connor Sugden, 20, will join BDP’s building services team while Callum Simister, 18, joins as apprentice civil and structural engineer.

It is the first time BDP has taken on apprentices.

The three will be attending Liverpool Community College on a day release basis as part of a national apprenticeship programme whilst working towards a professional qualification with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

BDP director Gavin Elliot said: “We are keen to deliver a holistic approach to workplace learning, sharing our knowledge and specialist expertise to hopefully equip these young people with the skills they need for a promising future.

“Daniel, Connor and Callum’s enthusiasm and energy is something that made them stand out from the crowd during the selection process. We are very pleased to welcome them to the Manchester Studio and look forward to the positive contributions they will make.”
