Manchester High School For Girls plans sixth form block

MANCHESTER High School For Girls has submitted plans for a new three-storey sixth form block.
The scheme will involve the demolition of existing classrooms at the school, off Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield.
The fee-paying school wants to consolidate its existing sixth form rooms in a purpose built site.
The proposed building will have a cafe, classrooms and a double height lecture theatre. There will be a bridge linking it to the main school building.
Manchester City Council hopes to make a decision on the plans by the end of the year. Manchester architect Walker Simpson is handling the project.
