Character World beds down with Little Mix

LICENSED textile manufacturer Character World has added X-factor girl band Little Mix to its portfolio.

The Cheadle company will design and produce a range of bedroom textile products due to launch in time for Christmas.

The deal, which is in place until May 2014, is with Bravado, the world’s leading music merchandise company representing properties including The Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson.

Tim Kilby, brand director at Character World, said “Music is a booming area of the business for Character World. This is a license we’ve had our eye on for some time now so it’s a welcome addition to our music portfolio. They are the first credible female group with true girl power since the Spice Girls.

“X-Factor licenses are always strong performers at retail due to the loyal fan base they develop throughout the series. Retailers are predicting great things for this license especially with the all the buzz around their new material coming out.”

Character World produces licensed textiles for a range of sectors including children’s entertainment, publishing, sports and music. Little Mix will be joining other brands in the manufacturer’s portfolio including One Direction, JLS, Moshi Monsters, Hello Kitty and Disney.
