UKTI targets advisory community

THE North West’s professional advisory community has a critical role to play in promoting exports as a means to business growth and economic success.

This key message will be emphasised at a free event in Manchester on Wednesday November 14 organised by TheBusinessDesk.com in association with UK Trade and Investment.

The seminar, part of UKTI’s Export Week programme of activities, is aimed at bankers, accountants, solicitors, trade mark attorneys, credit insurers and other intermediaries working with businesses in the region.

Taking place at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Manchester on November 14,  UKTI’s regional director Clive Drinkwater will explain why his team is keen to forge closer relationships with advisers and give an update on the 2012 North West Export Challenge.

Mr Drinkwater will also introduce his regional Export Champions initiative and announce details of a Market Insight mission to Dublin next year, and invite attendees to nominate clients to take part the trade visit.

Chris Barry, North West editor of TheBusinessDesk.com, said: “We are delighted to be working with UKTI North West during Export Week and helping to bring it closer to the region’s professional services community.

“International trade represents a huge opportunity for businesses large and small, and we are sure the region’s professional and financial community will want to play a part in making sure this opportunity is taken.”
