Jobs boost at Booths latest opening

BOOTHS, the independent North West grocer, is creating 60 jobs at its latest store in Milnthorpe, Cumbria.
The 10,000sq ft shop is the 29th in the family-owned company’s portfolio. It opens its doors on November 14.
Like the other Booths stores it will stock local produce, from Morecambe Bay shrimps supplied by Furness Fish and Game, bread from the Staff of Life Real Artisan Bakery and beer from Lancaster Brewery.
In the run up to opening, store manager John Reynolds has visited a number of supplier.
He said: “Booths prides itself on its first class and knowledgeable assistants who have a strong understanding of the produce we sell.
“There’s no better way to learn than hearing firsthand the stories that make our region’s foods so special and seeing the care that goes into producing them”.
The exterior design of the store features an unique piece of artwork produced by local sculptor, Katie Edwards.
Inside, the store will contain fresh food counters, including a butchers, fishmongers, delicatessen, hot food and cheesemongers.
