2ergo signs app offers deal with 02
MOBILE app firm 2ergo has teamed up with 02 to launch a special offers app in Dublin.
The Salford Quays-based company says the system will enable customers on any mobile network to redeem local discounts and promotional offers using their phones.
Consumers download the 2ergo-developed app from the iPhone App store or Google Play Store which can then be redeemed by tapping the phone over a specially installed ‘podifi pod’, connected to the till.
Over 50 retailers in Dublin’s Docklands area have signed up to use the service.
Chief executive Neale Graham said: “This scheme demonstrates the capabilities of podifiTM at its best – the ability to provide a cross-network mobile voucher scheme, along with developing the supporting apps and infrastructure for one of the global leaders in mobile communications.
“Mobile coupons, loyalty and payment schemes are a real growth opportunity and we are excited to be at the forefront of that technology.”
