Food entrepreneur hungry for more

AN entrepreneur who opened his first food franchise  aged18 has added two North West Pizza Hut delivery outlets to his growing portfolio, and is hungry for more.

Nadim Iftikhar Choudary now has a chain of 14 outlets after buying the businesses in Chorlton and Cheadle Hulme with the support of HSBC, which has a agreed a £400,000 funding package.

Mr Choudary’s  company NAS Manna, which is based in the Midlands, now has five outlets in the Manchester area, five in Nottingham and four in Birmingham.

He plans to add a further seven outlets to the portfolio in 2013 and is in advanced talks to acquire sites based predominantly in the North West.

HSBC Commercial  Bank has supported the company’s growth, helping to fund the acquisition of nine of its outlets to date as turnover has grown from £1.4m at the end of 2010 to £6m this year.

Mr Choudary said: “We are a growth business and we make sure
we  get  the basics right, such as good offers, marketing, customer service and  product. To date we are up 30% on like-for-like sales, which is extremely  encouraging in a financial climate such as this, and I am confident of further growth next year, both organically and through acquisitions.

“HSBC  has been very supportive of the business and has given us the required backing; we see this very much as a relationship.”
