MediaMix: Kenyon Fraser, Studio North and The if agency

LIVERPOOL communication agency Kenyon Fraser says it is set for a record year with turnover on track for £2m-£2.5m.
The firm, which also has offices in Leeds and London, was set up in 1990 and now employs 22 people. It had sales of £1.8m last year.
Managing director, Richard Kenyon, said: “We are really pleased with our financial performance this year. To be performing so well in a recession – and in an industry which is often the bellweather for the broader economy – is a fantastic testament to the strength of our team here.
“We have further growth plans across our three office locations but our main priority will continue to be getting excellent results for our existing clients – we find this to be the best new business strategy.”
New client wins include Bruntwood, Shepherd Construction, NHS Leeds, Glas Wagener, Sawyer Europe and the R&A.

TWITFACED, the Manchester networking event, could be rolled out nationally after celebrating its first birthday this month.
Conceived by Michael Di Paola at brand and digital consultancy, Studio North, TwitFaced aims to bring together business people who would not ordinarily cross paths.
Mr Di Paola said: “We set up TwitFaced to be a uniquely casual networking event that transposed the informal connectivity of Twitter into real life. Manchester is awash with formal business focused events full of business development people spraying business cards like confetti. We wanted to create something different that attracted a wider cross section of people but in a much more relaxed environment.”
He added: “The plan now is to build on the TwitFaced brand and we’re already speaking to several potential partners in other UK cities about rolling out the concept throughout 2013 which would be fantastic and the next natural step in it’s evolution.”
The anniversary will be celebrated at Lock 91 on December 7, featuring DJs and live music.

The if agency has been named as the Direct Response & Sales Promotion Agency of the Year at the Marketing Industry Network Awards 2012.
It is the third year the Manchester based creative agency has been awarded the accolade.
Managing director Christian James said: “Winning the award is a great way to celebrate all of our achievements this year. This is the third time in a row we’ve picked it up so to say we’re pleased is a bit of an understatement.
“Over the past few years, we’ve built up a fantastic team all of whom have contributed massively to our successes and our focus is now on producing even better work for our clients.”
