easyJet to add Nantes and Newquay

TWO further routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport for next summer have been announced by low cost airline easyJet.
Services to the French city of Nantes and Newquay on the south coast will begin in early July.
Newquay has become easyJet’s fourth domestic route from JLA, alongside Belfast, the Isle of Man and Jersey, while Nantes will be the airline’s fifth French destination available.
The expansion will see easyJet operating 29 destinations from Liverpool.
Ali Gayward, easyJet commercial manager commented: “We have carefully selected destinations to compliment the wide range of cities we already serve from the airport.
“The news demonstrates easyJet’s continued commitment to Liverpool as one our largest airport bases in the UK and a key gateway to the North of England.
“Our new services to Nantes and Newquay should prove popular with UK holidaymakers and business travellers looking for an easy and affordable way to reach Western France or Cornwall.”
Craig Richmond, chief executive of Peel Airports added: “We are naturally delighted that easyJet are looking to grow their business from Liverpool further. These new routes help to increase the choice and widen the range of destinations on offer from here for passengers from across the North West.
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with easyJet to explore further opportunities over the coming weeks too.”
