5plus sets out Hub plans for Fountain Street

ARCHITECT 5plus has submitted plans for the revamp of 35 Fountain Street, Manchester, for client IVG (UK).

All six upper floor plates of the building, which totals 67,037 sq ft, are being refurbished to offer Grade A office space.

It will also include the creation of a new front entrance and reception and a ‘tenants hub’.

Director Jon Matthews said: “Instead of converting every inch of space to offices the client wanted to offer tenants something extra and the Hub is a totally new concept for the city.

“It will be fitted out like a club class lounge and be a really cool place to pick up a coffee and a paper, hold informal meetings with clients and customers or just hang out.”

It will also include a ‘cycle hub’ with space for up to 240 bikes on site as well as changing rooms, great showers and lockers.

If planning is approved work will start by the end of the year and is expected to take six months.
