Appointments: RLB; JMW & more

SURVEYING practice Rider Levett Bucknall has announced a number of appointments and promotions in its Manchester office.
Chris Hartley has been promoted to senior partner and will be responsible for the everyday running of the office, which is based at Exchange Quay.
Frank Fitzgerald moves up to senior quantity surveyor following his first year with the firm. Newcomers Mark Nuttall (associate QS) and Martin Gowing (QS) both join the business, from JYM Partnership and Appleyard and Trew LLP.
Mr Hartley said: “These new appointments have strengthened our QS team in Manchester significantly. Mark brings a range of experience in procurement and benchmarking, Martin has an excellent track record in social housing projects and Frank will continue to support and develop our retail and commercial clients in the region.”

LAW firm JMW Solicitors has welcomed two new staff to its medical negligence department.
Sophie Fox has joined from Pannone as a trainee solicitor, and Donna Bass from Addleshaw Goddard as a paralegal.

KENDAL-based Steven Abbott Associates has appointed Andrew Tait to its planning team as an associate.
Mr Tait, who joins next month, is currently employed by the Cairngorms National Park Authority, and has previously held positions with the Dartmoor NPA, Bristol City Council and in industry.

BEATTIE Communications has expanded its Manchester team with the addition of consumer PR expert, Lyndsey Evans.
Ms Evans more than 14 years’ experience in delivering PR and marketing communications strategies for B2B, corporate and internal communications campaigns.
She has previously led PR teams at both Staniforth/TBWA and SASS Brand Communications, and has worked in-house at Bentley Motors and Shop Direct Group.
