BAM snaps up Sutton Group
FACILITIES management business Sutton Group has been acquired by BAM Construct.

FACILITIES management business Sutton Group has been acquired by BAM Construct.

BAM said the deal, which also inculdes subsidiary Sutton Maintenance, will add £13m to turnover and 100 staff.

The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.

Sutton operates from a Manchester office in the North West and has its headquarters in Luton. It also has offices in London and Glasgow.

It will be merged with BAM’s UK facilities management arm, BAM FM, which provides services at more than 30 schools. It also manages commercial buildings in the BAM Properties’ portfolio. Sutton works across a portfolio of retail, office and residential properties.

Nico de Vries, chairman of Royal BAM Group, said: “BAM looks to play an increasing role in the management of its customers’ construction and infrastructure assets in our European home markets. BAM has the capability to offer its customers a full range of services across the construction life cycle.”
