Beever and Struthers targets creatives after London swoop

NORTH West accountancy firm has boosted its London footprint and its credentials in the TMT sector by merging with a specialist practice in the capital.

Manchester-based Beever and Struthers has agreed a deal with The Company Books, based near Tech City in East London.

The merger has seen the North West firm move its small London office to The Company Books’ base in Bunhill Row EC1. The combined entity has around 30 staff.

TCB was founded by Joy Cantlon and Paul de Vryer in 1992. With around 100 clients it serves companies involved in creative services, IT and software development, publishing and manufacturing, PR, marketing and financial.

Phil Roberts, managing partner of Manchester-based Beever and Struthers, said:” We looked long and hard for a business that would provide a complementary fit with Beever and Struthers and TCB satisfied all of our key criteria.

“Recent research has shown that sectors including financial services and digital, media and technology will be the drivers of economic growth and this merger gives us the chance to be a key player in helping to deliver that growth.”

Joy Cantlon said: “Our partnership with Beever and Struthers enables TCB to provide a greater range of skills and expertise to our clients.  Many businesses appreciate having just one accounting firm to work with on their financial management and our clients are already using the additional services we now offer them.”
