Sales jump as ClearSky wins new clients

CLEARSKY accounting, a division of Warrington-based Optionis, saw sales increase by 45% last year after attracting 1,500 new clients.

It offers fixed-fee tax and accountancy services to small and medium-sized businesses, sole traders, freelancers and contractors.

In 2012 sales rose from £2.9m to £4.3m.

Managing director Derek Kelly said: “Our performance during 2012 means we are on track to realise our ambitious aim of doubling the size of the business by 2014.

“I’m proud to say that we’ve built a reputation for meeting the needs of our varied client base, which includes small owner-managed start-ups right through to established SMEs with up to 50 employees.

“We launched ClearSky HR in 2012, and are looking to expand the range of services that we offer SMEs even further over the coming 12 months.”

Clearsky also has offices in Poole and London. Optionis changed its name from Parasol last year.
