Profits leap at B2B International

MARKET research firm B2B International recorded another hefty increase in earnings last year.

The Stockport firm said sales had grown by 28% to £5.1m while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped to £1.2m from £700,000.

The company has now made a profit and grown revenue every year since it was founded in 1998.

Chief executive Matthew Harrison said: “We placed a huge emphasis on close collaboration with our larger accounts during 2012, with a doubling in the number of clients commissioning research worth £100,000 or more.”

Growth was particularly strong in North America, with revenue increasing by a huge 68% during the year. In Europe (including UK), revenue grew by over 25% for the second consecutive year.

Mr Harrison added: “The fact that we are firmly established in three continents has been crucial for us, as most of our largest projects are multinational in nature.”

The firm now employs around 65 staff.
