Appointments: New head for 235manchester; Nanoco; Mitchell Charlesworth

JUSTIN Carter has been appointed venue director at Manchester235 casino.
US-born Mr Carter has moved to Manchester from another London Clubs International owned venue, The Casino at the Empire in London.
He moved to the UK in 2012 from his role as operations director at the Emerald Resort and Casino in South Africa.
He said: “Manchester235 is one of LCI’s flagship casinos and I’m delighted to be making the move north. Since 2010, overall revenue has grown year on year with gaming revenue alone increasing by 30% last year.
“My focus will be to continue this exceptional growth and ensure Manchester235 evolves dynamically in terms of both its gaming offering and as one of the city’s most exciting entertainment venues.”

MANCHESTER-based Nanoco Group has strenghtened its international sales presence with the recruitment of experienced business development executives in the US and South Korea.
The company, a pioneer in quantum dot technology for the display industry, has hired Margaret “Peggy” Hines PhD for the US market and former Samsung employee Jin-Ho Park PhD for SOuth Korea.
Michael Edelman, Nanoco’s CEO, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Peggy and Jin-Ho to Nanoco. They both have excellent commercial and research experience and I look forward to their contribution to the successful roll-out of Nanoco’s cadmium-free quantum dot technology.”

NORTH West accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth has boosted its payroll team with three new recruits.
The firm, which has offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Warrington and Widnes has hired Samantha Burton, formerly of Ceridian, and Rizwan Sindhu, formerly of Logica as senior payroll clerks. Geraldine Taylor has joined as a payroll administrator.
Payroll manager Joanne Nieman said the unit is seeking opportunities in the health, construction and care home sectors. She said: “The last 12 months has seen formidable growth with client wins within the department rising past 700 for the first time. This growth is due to the fact payroll processes are becoming increasingly difficult and onerous, requiring expert attention.”
