Appointments: Heatons; Darbys; Ward Hadaway

CORPORATE and commercial law firm Heatons has appointed Joanne White as an associate in its employment department.
With more than 10 years’ experience, she joins the Manchester firm from Linder Myers where she set up the firm’s employment department in its Shropshire office.

LITIGATOR Nick Gee has become the newest recruit at the Manchester office of Darbys Solicitors.
The recruitment of the former Pannone partner brings the headcount in Darbys’ office in Hale to more than 20 in its first year of business.
Natasha Jones, head of Darbys’ North West office said: “Nick’s arrival means we offer the full range of commercial legal services from this office after just one year. He is a heavyweight litigator and we are very pleased to have him join us”.

WARD Hadaway has further expanded the team at its Manchester office with the appointment of Tim Hayes, pictured, as counsel advising on regulatory and prosecution issues.
Mr Hayes has experience in serious and complex fraud and criminal cartels and investigations and prosecutions brought by regulatory bodies including the Health and Safety Executive and the Environment Agency.
He said: “The firm has an excellent reputation for its work advising on regulatory issues and its approach to providing high quality client-centred services fits in perfectly with the way in which I like to work.”

COMMERCIAL property advisor GVA, has appointed Matt Taylor, a graduate surveyor to its North West lease consultancy team.
Mr Taylor joins from Leo Property Group where he was an asset manager.
