Property briefs: Globe, ID:SR, St James Square letting

WARRINGTON-based Globe Construction has started work on a new base for the Cats Protection centre in the town.

The 8,600 sq ft single-storey facility, due for completion in the Autumn, will provide Cats Protection with an adoption centre including cattery and administration facilities.

The charity is relocating from existing premises in Bank Quay.

Ian Threadgold, director of Globe Construction, said: “As a Warrington-based business we are very pleased to be involved in helping Cats Protection to strengthen its work in our area. The new facility has been in the planning for a while now so it is great to get the development team on site and work underway.”

Cats Protection’s centre manager, Sonia Scowcroft, said: “The new centre in Padgate will allow us to rehome hundreds of unwanted cats and kittens in the Warrington area. It will be bigger, more accessible, cheaper to operate and more comfortable for the cats while they are staying with us. We are delighted that construction has begun on site and look forward to moving into our new home later in the year.”
