Skyline tower put on the market

SKYLINE, the Manchester apartment block with an 18th floor swimming pool, has been put on the market.

The 19-storey Rochdale Road tower, which has 129 apartments, was built by Donal Mulryan’s West Properties.

Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed to sell the building by Wheatley Properties, a Hertfordshire firm controlled by Ann and Geoffrey Woods.

The agent said activity has picked up in the residential investment market thanks to an increased number of foreign investors and limited stock in London which is driving buyers to the regions.

Tom Henry, residential director at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “The recent influx of capital into the residential investment market has been significant with international funds, housing associations and increasingly domestic institutions seeking to increase their exposure to the sector.

“Given that Manchester offers a combination of strong rental returns and huge potential for capital growth, we anticipate strong demand for this asset.”
