Finalists annnounced for 2013 North West Business Masters awards
SOME of the best-known companies and leaders from the North West have been shortlisted in TheBusinessDesk.com’s annual Business Masters awards.
In the high profile North West Ambassador category, sponsored by Etihad Airways, Peter Marks, the boss of The Co-operative Group will lock horns with manufacturing sector champion Juergen Maier, from Siemens who is also chair of the influential North West Business Leadership team.
The third big name on the shortlist is Maurice Watkins, who as well as being a leading sports lawyer with Brabners Chaffe Street, was on Manchester United’s board for nearly 30 years and is also a tireless charity champion.

Competition is fierce too in the North West manufacturer category, with ATG Access, which recently secured investment from private equity house LDC, competing with Prescot, Merseyside based cooker maker Glen Dimplex Home Appliances and Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood operations, where the best selling Range Rover Evoque is made.
Winners of the six categories will be announced on April 25 at a high profile awards lunch at the Lowry Hotel.
The North West Business Masters awards will bring together some of the most established and recognisable names in the region’s business community with some superb new ventures making the first steps on the path to success.
The aim of the Masters is to celebrate business excellence in the region. We do this by making the shortlisted organisations the stars of the show.
