Pannone promotes Nichol as veteran Jones flies solo

MANCHESTER law firm Pannone has promoted Lucy Nicol to head of its highly-profitable Court of Protection team after the departure of veteran partner Hugh Jones.
Mr Jones has left the Deansgate-based firm after 34 years and launched his own niche Court of Protection practice, Hugh Jones Solicitors.
As part of his exit, Mr Jones, who is understood to have been Pannone’s highest-paid partner last year, has has acquired some Court of Protection business from Pannone.
Pannone has a nationally recognised Court of Protection practice and is the largest dedicated team in the North West. The group manages the financial affairs of around 350 vulnerable individuals and has more than £300m of clients’ capital under management.
Pannone Managing Partner Emma Holt said: “Led by Lucy, we are continuing to develop our Court of Protection group as part of a comprehensive service offered by Pannone to injured and vulnerable people.
“We would like to thank Hugh for his great contribution to Pannone over many years, and to wish him every success in his new venture.”
Mr Jones’ new practice is located in the Deva Centre in Salford.
