Logistics firm EFS expands with acquisition

BURNLEY logistics group Express Freight Solutions (EFS) has bought customs clearing business Logictrans.

EFS, founded by managing director Mark Jones, said the deal would help expand its customer base and increase its range of services.

Logictrans, based in Leigh, has been sold by Jeanne Clerc and Neil Cooper for an undisclosed sum.

Tom Eatough, an executive at Bolton-based KBS Corporate which advised on the sale, said: “I am pleased that we managed to agree a deal which suited Neil and Jeanne whilst enabling EFS Group to expand their service offering.  

“It was a pleasure working with Neil and I wish him and EFS the best of luck with their future endeavours.”
