Legal briefs: Brabners scores with Kompany; MP launches new firm & more

THE sports law team at Norht West firm Brabners Chaffe Street  advised Manchester City and Belgium captain Vincent Kompany on a new long-term endorsement deal with US-based apparel manufacturer Warrior.

Partner David Bentham, and solicitor Oliver Sadler acted for the 27-year-old defender in the negotiations.

Mr Bentham said: “It was great to advise Vincent on this exciting new partnership – while we have wide experience in dealing with various endorsement arrangements, this deal is particularly significant, being between the captain of the reigning Premier League Champions and a very prominent new entrant to the UK football market in Warrior.”

Vincent Kompany said: “It was great to have David and Oli as part of the team, supporting and assisting me throughout the negotiations, meaning the arrangements could be finalised so efficiently.”
