HYDE-based student accommodation provider Njoy Student Living has spent £7m adding to its portfolio in the past year.

The business is the trading name of Njoy Property which is owned by Jason Worrall and Richard Tkaczyk.

It has added 300 beds to its portfolio with the acquisition of six buildings in the Victoria Park area of south Manchester, including Carfax Court and Langdale Hall.

The firm was advised by the property finance team at accountancy firm Cowgill Holloway which has offices in Manchester, Bolton and Liverpool.

David Rainford, a former Bank of Ireland property finance director, heads the team. He said: “We are delighted to have assisted Njoy with these acquisitions. We have worked hard to source competitive finance options and have liaised closely with the bank’s valuation and legal teams to ensure the deals completed.”

Mr Tkaczyk said: “The property industry has been hit harder than most by the challenging economic conditions throughout the world but this new service provided by Cowgill has enabled us to raise finances with greater ease and expediency.”
